First night here in Cozumel and we were looking for something delicious and authentic - and we found it! This little place is geared towards more traditional, authentic flavors and styles, and the results were amazing! My wife got the mole con pollo y la mole con vegetales - both were amazing! I got the chuleta, chicharrón prensado, papa con chorizo y nopales con champiñones - all were amazing. They had good salsas, for the topping and the tortillas are hand made there at the shop using a traditional blue corn that we don’t see super often. I highly recommend that you visit this little spot!

A personal favorite is the guisado de carne en su jugo-a beef stew served with a deliciously rich, savory broth. The beef is so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and the accompanying salsa is the perfect blend of spice and tanginess. Don’t forget to squeeze a lime wedge over it for that extra zing.

Another amazing Local Taqueria where Mama was cooking fresh food! They had a huge variety of options to pick from but my favorite was the mole as the depth of flavors was so unique and rich yet so elegant all at the same time! The serve the tacos in a blue corn tortilla & with rice!
A quaint, colorful little taco spot with a great local vibe and five different vegan taco options. I tried three – Chili, Mexican Style Pumpkins, and my favorite, Mole with Vegetables. The Mole taco absolutely stole the show, rich, deep flavor with that perfect hint of chocolate and spice. Honestly, it should be their signature vegan taco (if it isn’t already!). The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and even loved on our pup, it’s a very dog-friendly spot where we felt completely welcome. Mauricio was a great server and even gave suggestion on the order he recommended eating the 3 tacos. The décor has that artsy charm, and the food feels like it’s made straight from the heart. Check out the art above the toilet. cute! I’d definitely come back for the Mole with Vegetables tacos.
We got one of each meat kind of taco they had - they were out of one, but we got the special. Two of us shared 7 tacos. I cannot tell you which one was the best. Every one had their highs. We got done eating and we wanted to order another round. But we got the sweet corn bread instead and that my friends, you should not pass up. I didn't like the liquid addition as I thought it was amazing without it, but my partner thought it was an incredible addition. The place is tiny and super super super hot, but there are a lot of fans.
By far the best meal we had on the island! The tortillas were incredibly fresh, the corn bread dessert at the end was unexpectedly delicious.
Five stars! This place is a hidden gem. I was on a cruise stop in Cozumel and desperately searching for authentic tacos that weren't the usual overpriced tourist fare at the port. Guisados delivered and then some! The food here is absolutely phenomenal. From the incredible guacamole to the rich and flavourful chicken mole tacos, every bite was a revelation. Served on soft, fresh blue corn tortillas, these tacos are what I'm going to be dreaming about for years to come. The best part? The price. At only $1.50 USD per taco, you can get a true taste of Mexico without getting ripped off. This is the real deal and a must-visit for any foodie in Cozumel.
Small taco place with unusual fillings like chicken mole and pork stew. All tacos are made with fresh blue corn tortillas. Try the pan elote for dessert. Tacos are 40 pesos each.
Every time I see a post asking for the best tacos, people are always saying Guisados. Now that I’ve finally tried it, I understand why! Delicious hearty tacos and friendly staff. The blue corn tortillas were delicious!
